Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

New Testament Church of God International Worship Center (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a church in Baugher’s Bay, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We handle personal information in line with the Data Protection Act, 2021 of the British Virgin Islands.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the reason you are contacting us, and your message.
  • Prayer requests and messages: anything you choose to write to us. Prayer requests can reveal your religious beliefs, health, or family circumstances, so please share only what you are comfortable sharing.
  • Email, phone and in-person contact: details you give us when you contact the church directly.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site and the services that run it may record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the site secure, to help it load quickly, and to understand which pages are useful.

Information stored in your own browser

The Bible study “Mark as complete” feature saves your progress in your own browser (local storage). This stays on your device. It is not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it.

2. How we use your information

  • To reply to your message and answer your questions.
  • To arrange a visit, connect you with a ministry, small group or pastor, and follow up with you if you ask us to.
  • To pray for you when you send a prayer request.
  • To run, secure and improve this website.
  • To meet legal obligations and keep people safe, including our safeguarding responsibilities.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Sensitive information and prayer requests

Information about your religious beliefs, health or family life is sensitive. We ask that you include only what you are comfortable sharing. We treat prayer requests and personal messages with care and limit access to the church leaders and ministry team members who need to see them in order to respond or pray.

4. Our basis for using your information

We collect and use personal information with your consent, for example when you submit a form, or where the Data Protection Act, 2021 otherwise permits. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.

5. Who we share information with

  • Church leaders and ministry teams who need the information to respond to you, pray with you, or follow up.
  • Service providers that help us run the website and our email, such as web hosting, email, security, caching and analytics providers. They may only use information for the services they provide to us.
  • Authorities or other parties where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect someone’s safety.

6. Third-party services on this website

  • YouTube: our live stream, recent messages and other videos are provided by YouTube (Google). When a YouTube player loads or plays, Google may collect information such as your IP address and set cookies, under its own privacy policy.
  • Google Fonts: this site loads fonts from Google, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers.
  • Google Maps: the Plan Your Visit page may show a Google map of our location.
  • Email: messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our church email account.
  • Analytics: we may use an analytics tool, such as Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages are popular. This information is used in summary form and is not used to identify you personally.
  • Giving: if we provide an online giving link, you will be taken to a separate payment provider with its own privacy policy. We do not collect or store your card or bank details on this website.
  • Social media: links to our Facebook and YouTube pages take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

7. Sending information outside the British Virgin Islands

Some of the services above, including Google and our hosting and email providers, may store or process information outside the British Virgin Islands. We choose providers that protect personal information appropriately. By using this website or sending us a message, you agree to your information being handled in this way.

8. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website may use cookies that are needed for it to work (for example, to keep church members logged in, where that feature is used), cookies for security and performance, analytics cookies, and cookies set by YouTube and other embedded services. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features, such as video, may not work without them.

9. Livestreams, recordings and photos

Our worship services and events may be livestreamed or recorded, and may be shared on YouTube, Facebook and this website. If you attend a service, you may appear in these recordings. If you would prefer not to be shown, please tell a church leader or usher, or contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate you or remove the content.

10. Children and young people

This website is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them through the contact form. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. We will only publish photos or videos in which children or young people can be identified with the consent of a parent or guardian.

11. How long we keep information

We keep messages and prayer requests only as long as we need them to respond and to provide appropriate follow-up, and then we delete them. Website logs and analytics data are kept for a limited period by the services that hold them.

12. Keeping information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including limiting who can access it and using secure website and email services. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2021 you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
  • withdraw your consent, and ask us to stop using or to delete your information where the law allows.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may also complain to the Information Commissioner in the British Virgin Islands.
